This event has become a staple in Tige’s Events Calendar with over 100 participants at the event each year. With many new and exciting changes in the Tige line up for 2010 we hope you can join us this year and blow those numbers out of the water.
Your Owners Reunion is based on a relaxed (or full on, which ever way you want to make it) weekend of fun in your boat. You will have a chance to meet the TigeTeam of riders and dealers who can assist you with your skiing and wakeboarding, we will play some silly games for prizes and release information on new models. You will also meet many other passionate owners from all around the country, and even some next door neighbors you didn’t know you had.
Location & Date Changes
For 2010 we have had a date and location change. This allows us couple of great advantages,
1. Enough room for everyone to be accommodated in the one location
2. More ability to spend more time on the water (where it counts the most)
The location for 2010 is the Big River Holiday Park & Ski Lodge in Grafton, which is side by side with the Seelands Ski Lodge. Either accommodation options will be fine, but be aware the Ski Lodge has limited spots so get in quick if you wish to stay there. Otherwise the accommodation at the Big River Holiday Park & Ski Lodge is still more than acceptable. We have a series of accommodation on hold, from en-suite cabins to camp sites to keep everyone together. Attached is information regarding the accommodation and directions to get there. When you call let them know you are booking for the Tige Owners Reunion and they will place you in the right area. Please call and book in ASAP as it’s obviously a first come first served basis.
Boats and Travel
Although we would love to have as many boats as possible at the event, if you live a long distance away and cannot tow your boat, we understand and would still love you to come along anyway. We will organize you a boat to ride behind and in for the weekend.
If you are planning on flying, Gold Coast airport is 3 hrs drive and there will be several people driving past who can pick you up if you give us a months notice. Otherwise fly straight into Grafton and we’ll have someone there to get you… simple.
If you require a pick up, once you have booked flights please forward details to amw@tigeboats.com.au.
Activities
Of course there will be plenty of activity to ensure this event is somewhat a little special. The Tige Cup will be run again and the ever popular Tige UNRIDEABLE RIDE competition. The Unrideable Ride requires you to bring along something unusual to ride. As you could see from last years DVD no-one gets out of having a go so you better come prepared. Some of the more outrageous ones last year were a home-made 20V, full size BBQ, esky lid and ironing board. So get your thinking caps on and come up with something unique.
The Tige Team wakeboarders will be on hand to conduct lessons on Sunday which we will book in on Saturday night. There will be plenty of time for everyone young and old to get some tips so plan on making a day of it on Sunday as well if possible.
On Saturday afternoon the TigeTeam Riders will put on a demo of all the spectacular things they can do behind a Tige Boat.
Catering
With our new location you will be close to your own accommodation all weekend, so please come prepared on Friday night with everything you need so you don’t have to go back into town.
We will provide lunch both days and Breakfast on Sunday morning to get you going again. For Dinner on Saturday night we will congregate around the BBQ area with some evening entertainment so please bring all you will need to keep yourself well nourished and lubricated. (I’m talking about food and drinks)
We will have some entertainment Saturday Night and the lucky ones may even see the sun come up.
If you have any questions, please contact your local dealer or myself, Mick Watkins, with any concerns on 1300 ProWake, otherwise RSVP prior to 22 January 2010.
Last Year's Owners Reunion
The second annual Tige Owners Reunion was held in January 2009. Over 100 Tige owners turned out to celebrate owning their Tige boat at Grafton, NSW. Not even the overcast weather could stop the free flowing fun of the weekend, where owners joined pro team riders Daniel Watkins, Brenton Priestly and Scotty Broome for a memorable two day get-together.
